Dehradun the beautiful capital of Uttarakhand

Dehradun is made up of two words “Dehra" + "Dun.” Dehra is derived from the word “dera”, meaning camp, and “doon” is a term for the valley that lies between the himalayas and the Shivalik.

                  History of Dehradun!



1.  In ancient times, the name of this city was Dron Ashram because Guru Dronacharya came here in search of peace.

2.  It is said that King Ashoka also ruled in Dehradun.  His empire extended to Dehradun.  Its proof is still found there

But the credit of settling the present Dehradun is owed to 1 Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Ram Rai, because he made his camp from Punjab to Dehradun, due to which it was named Dehradun.

4.  It is said that the rulers of Garhwal used to rule in Dehradun.

But in 1804, Nepal's army attacked Garhwal and took Garhwal inside.

5.  And after that the British ruled here from 1815 to 1947.

  1.  Sahastradhara : Sahastradhara meaning 'thousand fold spring' is popular for its ecstatic beauty and therapeutic value since its water contains Sulphur.
  2. Robber's Cave :  18 kilometers from Dehradun, the place is present and it is also known as Guchupani.This cave is 650 meters long and it is said that do not speak English, only the dacoits used to hide their belongings here.  Due to which the army could not come in this cave.Because of this its name Robber cave
  3. LacchiwwlaLachhiwala is a picnic spot where a lot of people come after the poor.
  4. Har ki dun - Har Ki Doon is a very beautiful place where one has to go trakking.Pollution is not available here at all and due to the clean air, the environment here attracts tourists.

  6. Paltan Bajar -Paltan Bazaar is a very big market in Dehradun.  Where clothes and other things are available very cheaply.And the ice cream here is very popular.
  7. Fun valley - Fun Valley is a water park located in Dehradun, the ship is very famous and everyone comes here to enjoy it.
  8. Malsi deer park (Dehradun zoo ) - Malsi Deer Park has been renamed as Dehradun Zoo.  This is a very beautiful zoo in Dehradun where a lot of deer are found.
  9. Tapkeshwar temple - Tapkeshwar Temple is a well known temple of Shiva Ji located in Dehradun. This temple is divided into two parts and the sea river passes between it
  10. Forest Research Institute - F R I as he name suggests.  It is the Forest Research Institute.  Many films were also shot here

Bihar's First 200 feet Glass bridge Ready

Bihar's first Glass Skywalk bridge in Rajgir Ready..... India's first largest glass bridge has been completed. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on December 19 visited Rajgir to inspect the progress of the 'nature safari' work being carried out there.
