  1. Summer capital is Shimla
  2. Winter capital is Dharmshala

5.  People of quite different denominations live in Dharamshala.  This is the reason.  Thirty percent people believe in Buddhism from here

6.  After Kerala, it is the second state in India where corruption is very low.  This is why poverty is very low here

7.  Himachal Pradesh is the second largest apple producing state in India after Jammu and Kashmir.

8. It comes at number 11 in India in the field of education

Himachal Pradesh 1971 became the 18th state of India.
