Chandragupta Maurya laid the foundation of the Maurya Empire and he was the first emperor to build a united India.

Chandragupta Maurya was a great king. He ruled in India till 324 B.C. and then gave the whole kingdom to his son Bindusar and went to the mountains.

Chandragupta Maurya was a glorious king in the history of India. He defeated King Dhanananda of Nanda Dynasty and also defeated Alexander and later also defeated Alexander's successor.

Maurya was in his adolescent age when Alexander invaded India in 326 B.C. Alexander defeated King Porus

After this, Alexander's eyes were in the kingdom of Nand Dynasty's King Dhanananda, who had six thousand elephants etc. and a very large army.

But Alexander knew that he would not be able to defeat his army. So Ganga returned from the banks of the river and Alexander knelt down.

There was a powerful empire with closure. Prevented him from coming to India

Nand had such a large army that he drove Alexander.

King Dhanananda of Nand Dynasty was a very careless king. He used to do a lot more than the public. He has no fear of foreign invaders

Chanakya taught Chandragupta against Nanda. He taught them weapons and scriptures and accomplished everything.


Chandragupta Maurya has formed his own small army and attacked them in the kingdom of Thana Nanda many times but them No success

After several attempts, he finally succeeded and captured his capital Pataliputra.

And Chandragupta overthrew Nand Dynasty and became the king there.

Established his empire at the age of 20 in 321 B.C. The empire of Chandgupat stretches from Afghanistan to Burma Jammu Kashmir to Hyderabad

Also conquered present-day Iran in Chandragupta


Marriage


Chandragupta Maurya married the daughter of Alexander's heir and gifted them 400 elephants.


In the end, Chandragupta Maurya united the whole of India and ruled it.

At the age of 50, Chandragupta Maurya embraced Jainism and went to the mountains, handing over all his kingdom to Bindusara to his son.
